Kamanu Composites Face Shields are hand made in Kailua, Hawai'i. When used in conjunction with an appropriate mask, they are designed to provide an extra layer of eye and face protection against the spread of viruses such as COVID-19.
With a soft XLPE foam headband, PET film shield, and an elastic cord, Kamanu Composites Face Shields provide comfortable protection for all adult head sizes. The shields are designed for either single or multiple uses and the plastic screens can be easily swapped out to extend their lifespan.
The shields can be purchased either assembled or unassembled. Unassembled shields help ensure higher durability during transit and storage and can be assembled by the end-user within one minute.
Our story
Seeing the dire need for PPE, we began manufacturing face shields in limited quantities to donate to essential front line medical providers in March, 2020. As the need for PPE continued to grow, Kamanu Composites adapted to the need by expanding manufacturing capacity with the intent of meeting all of Hawai'i's needs for protective face shields.

These shields are not meant to be used as a replacement for an appropriate face mask or respirator but should be used in conjunction with appropriate PPE. Also, please keep in mind that these masks are hand made in an industrial environment and should be sterilized before use.
